My name is Liz and I am married and have 2 small children and 2 dogs. This picture is from last years Halloween and it's one of my favorites. I work at an electronics manufacturer doing sales/customer service. I love to work and I also love being a Mom, to humans and my fur babies.
In my free time I love to craft, be outside going on walks or bike rides and I'm on a bowling league.I love going out and trying new restaurants too.
2. My philosophy on life is to live it to the fullest. I know how important every day is and how life can be taken in an instant. I lost my father when I was young and that has taught me to enjoy every day and appreciate what life I have. I love this quote below because as a working Mom there are many times I feel guilty for not being there enough or times when I lose my patience and knowing that tomorrow is a new day helps.
3. My day starts at 5am. I am so tired and don't want to get up but I know that I need to.I wake up and take my dogs out. If it's not freezing, I will walk them for a little before I have to start my day. I have coffee and then get ready for work. My husband works a different shift than I so he is home during the day and I don't need to get the kids up at all, he does that. I leave for work at 7am and work until 4 then it's home. When I get home, usually the kids and dogs and I go on a long walk before I start dinner. We eat dinner around 6 then it's baths and bedtime and I take the dogs out one more time before I go to sleep. I usually feel pretty rushed once I get home from work.
4. We have 2 dogs, both shih tzu's. Their names are Max and Buddy. Max is the oldest, he is 8 and Buddy is about 9 months now. We got Max right after getting married because I wanted a dog so bad. I contacted a breeder and met her half way since she was far and got my little pup. Earlier this year we decided to add another dog to our family and used the same breeder.

I would say their roles in our house is mainly to entertain the children! Our kids love the dogs so so much. Max is older and he can take more from them, but Buddy is still a puppy so he is very active with them. Max kind of just lays around when they are playing rough while buddy is all about it. Max is my guy who lays with me and will let me pet him for hours but buddy is still very very hyper. They are good at letting us know when someone is at our house too :)
5.

our dogs fit into our lives perfectly. I love that my kids and dogs are friends, my son calls our dogs his siblings that's how close we all are.
a. my favorite moments are our walks together, anytime they snuggle with me or when we come home and they are so excited to see us
b. I would say the struggles are making sure they get enough attention, sometimes I feel I'm being pulled a million ways and worry I don't pay enogh attention to them
6. My approach in raising and taking care of my dogs are basically treating them like they are my kids. I am extremely affectionate and smother them with kisses constantly and I try and keep them as healthy as they can be with lots of exercise. I always say that Max is my first born since we got him before we had kids
7. Ok, I will start keeping a journal starting today

Welcome Liz. My name is Kim, and I'll be corresponding with you throughout this blogging assignment. I'll post questions in the comments section, and you can answer them here as well. Nice job on this first blog! Just a few quick follow-ups:
ReplyDelete- Could you give both Max and Buddy each a unique role in the household?
- What are all the things they add to your day-to-day life?
Thanks.
I would say Max is more the older soul of the house, he will be laying around and is always down for a belly rub where Buddy is the life of the party I would say. Always so hyper and ready to play.
ReplyDeleteThey bring so much joy to my every day life! If I'm in a bad mood or frustrated they can easily make me happier just by jumping up and giving me kisses
Thank you.
